Hi Caroline good to hear from you went to the dentice had a tooth pulled out two days ago it was very difficult to remove I could feel all the pushing and prodding it seemed to take ages for it to come out ,my jaw, head, neck,& arm has been very sore since ,and to think it cost me $180.00 still I should have looked after them better,You are so right who is going to employ someone over 60 I found it hard here I could only get part/time employment as a shop assistant and it was hard work. At the time I was looking I had sent in lots of cv's and not even a reply from most of the employers . I am sure it was to do with my age.There was plenty of home care jobs paying a pittance and very strenuous work. There are young ones out there looking for employment most of them are fitter and free from pains & aches Its ridiculous putting up the retirement age. There were mutterings about making it 68 in Australia & here some time ago because there will not be enough money for the ones coming after us .Most people could not live on the pension alone so it is most fortunate if one has some savings put by. Thank you... ok a kudo is for if you take a look at someones page like i did with yours, i liked it so i gave you a kudo, by clicking the word kudo just under the avatar on the profile pages, and in the group it would be to the left of the message at the top, and it shows that you like what you read, or agree with it even if you don't like it, the kudo's all add up and from there i am not sure what happens, i think it is like a popular thing, more kudos person has more she is known, or not many like mine lol, is where i am not so well ..popular LOL. in the group It is handy as the topic is what your voting on, not necessarily the person, so the more kudo's the topic has the more people like it. Hope that helps a little lol. I'm not very good at explaining things am I haha. ahh well, it's the way my mother put my hat on, or so my Dad used to tell me ha, Bless him. see ya later, it's nearly feeding time at the zoo here, all the young ones will be here in a while for their tea, I must be stark raving mad, got grandaughters friends for tea tonight, well it's feeding them i'll be doing, not actually having them for tea haha. hello Caroline yea, its been a while since I last visited , All is well here Bills over his op and walking good now .Sammie is toddling and going to play centre twice a week now,her mum stays with her and helps out occasionally. she will be 18 mths on the 17 th of Nov, we see her every day she is tall for her age We think she is very bright for her age she loves to read books and watch the Wiggles its lovely watching her develop.how are you enjoying your holiday in Buncrana ?,you must be enjoying catching up with all the family news, had a sneak look at some of your family photos and one especially stuck out was you with your two sisters you all looked so lovely , but what a terrible tragedy that having happened to your youngest sister . Hope he did time and plenty of it. that must have been aw-full news to have coped with and .something you cannot ever forget I hope your health has well improved and everyone at your house is in good health also Bowls has finished for me had a good season won a few tournaments ,however I have .arthritis in my bowling hand and its becoming very painful so i don't know how long I will be able to play for, I will be officially a pensioner this February we can only get the pension here at 65 think its 60 in the UK.would that be right ? are you still working ? well Caroline its about time I went, have to teach R. E. in the morning so will have to sort a few things out good chatting to you again .I must come and visit more often oh how do i give kudos ? TAKE CARE MY FRIEND HUGS SYLVIA XX

Good to hear Bill is over his op, and the pension age here is 65 but going up to 70 I think sometime. The women used to be able to retire at 60 but that went up to 65. Daft really, in a country where there are no job, and if like some are made redundant when they are in their 50's who on earth is going to employ them over a fit and agile person of much younger years, so therefore the unemployment figures are higher than they would be if they brought the age down and paid out the pension instead of the dole, it would bring the unemployment figures down and the country wouldn't look as bad as it is. I'ts about time they gave the leadership to a normal housewife, she would soon get books in order lol. Sorry to hear you have the arthritis, it is very painful i know, and the cold weather doesn't help at all, though i think you are having the good weather now aren't you. It is so cold here or at least I feel so cold, but i have a cold coming out on me, so it might be a bit milder than i feel haha.
For what he did to my sister he didn't get much time at all, only served a couple of years in Germany and he was then allowed out and home without a criminal record, because they have no extradition with England. So he was able to commit murder, and get away with it, infact he had got more of the sentence for putting other lives at risk when he set light to her body than he did for her murder, he served under 5 years. now the children have all grown up and he has been in touch a couple of months ago to see if he could see his daughter, she is now 24, but he had got a message to her sister on facebook, and it has freaked her out now, she has closed her account now with facebook, she never ever thought before that he would ever get in touch and certainly never through facebook. So things have all been stirred up again now, and although it is something we as a family would never ever forget, now it is like living them first days all over again.
Well I had better go and get a cup of tea, it is nice to hear about your grandaughter, she certainly has grown up, perhaps you could put a photo up of her in our group, I would love to see her again. Hope you can manage to get back into the group, i know it is a lot different to msn but we are getting used to it now. It is rather quiet in there at the moment too, everyone away sick and Ann and sloppyann missing because Ann is on holiday and sloppyann has trouble getting into group when she is at her sisters, where she is staying. Ann and Pete the lucky pair are in nice warm spain, or at least i hope it is nice and warm for them lol. I have put all my photo's up in our group of my stay in Buncrana last week, I had a great time, and didn't want to come back at all.

Thanks fer yer kind words Caroline,but let me say that I'm very pleased to be a member here on IC, an' I'll continue to do all I can to make it a great group. It's just a pity we don't have more members to brighten it up a lot more. Well who knows, maybe we will become a very large group some day in the future. That would be a really BIG day fer all of us here. If all our members try to get other people to join us, maybe we will reach that goal.... Once again, Caroline, thank ye kindly.... Joe

That would be great to be able to see more members, but as we are a closed group we have to depend on each of us telling friends on the net about it and asking them to join. Hopefully it will grow, It would be nice to see more posts and i am guilty of being missing for a large part, but I am able to be about more thankfully, so i'm in there a lot these days.
